, Blackpool (loan), Birmingham City<\/p>','<p>Joe Hart has emerged as the stand-out keeper of his generation, the undisputed No. 1 and a player who has been tipped to become the best goalkeeper in the world.<\/p><p>The pivotal point of his career came in August 2010 when Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was left with the decision of selecting Hart as his first-choice keeper, or going for the experience of Shay Given. The manager chose to go with Hart, and he has never looked back.<\/p><p>A product of the Shrewsbury Town youth system, Hart made 54 appearances for his hometown club before being signed by City in the summer of 2006. Loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool and Birmingham City followed before he came through to win his place between the sticks at Eastlands.<\/p><p>He also came through the England youth ranks and eventually made his debut for the full side against Trinidad and Tobago in June 2008. However, after showing he could cut it in the top flight, Leeds\' financial plight led to his sale and he moved to Newcastle in 2004.<\/p><p>Cementing his reputation as a hard-working and skilful midfielder while at St James\' Park, he attracted the attention of Aston Villa (who had taken him on loan in 2005) and he moved for a fee of around £12 million in 2008. Taking the No. 21 shirt from departing playmaker Pablo Aimar, Silva wasted little time in assuming creative responsibilities and linked up well with team-mate and fellow Spaniard David Villa.<\/p><p>Valencia may have suffered no end of financial problems but, despite the close attentions of a number of top sides, Silva showed admirable loyalty in remaining with the club and was rewarded in 2007-08 when winning his first major trophy in the shape of the Copa del Rey.
